I am an Alberta certified teacher with seven years experience working with children inside and outside the school environment. I believe children can make their own meaning and understanding of the world. I am just here to guide and support their journey of discovery. I value holistic hands on learning that engages the imagination and inspires inquiry through project based learning, and community engagement.

PROJECT BASED LEARNING
I specialize in self-directed project development. Together, I help your child imagine and outline a project that engages their interests, curiosities and strengths and deepen their understanding of a concept, event, text, or skill. With guidance, I assist your child with time management, organization, and the execution of a vision. After each project, we reflect on the experience, and bring that insight into our next project!
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
What makes a healthy community? What does it feel like to belong? How can one person help make a difference? These are all questions I encourage my students to ask themselves while exploring what it means to live in community with others. By connecting students with volunteering opportunities, and facilitating student led interviews with adults in various fields of work, I help students discover a deeper sense of self, purpose, and belonging.
SERVICES AND RATES
Cohort Teaching: Have a homeschooling cohort? Want your child to socialize with other students? Teamwork, negotiation, mentorship, conflict resolution and play are essential aspects of development. To meet these needs I offer in home project-based learning for cohorts of 4 to 6 children between the ages of 6 and 18.
Rate: $70 per child, 10am - 3pm
Individual Teaching: Looking for 1:1 support for your child in ELA or Social studies? I offer tutoring and project based learning for ELA and social studies grades one through twelve.
